Wow,

Since I haven't updated my blog in a while I figured I'd give you a rundown of what's happened so far. I have been pretty busy, on the 12, my uncle passed away so I went to Sudbury. It really was a tragedy. So then I got back and I went in full force, work booked me in everyday except Friday one week, then it was my dad’s birthday we had a little celebration. Then again more work :(. Bahahah I'm kidding it's not even that bad. Recently, I adopted a rat, his name is Herman. He was my psychology project. Oh and I finally applied to college. So glad I'm done the application process although, now is the hardest part, waiting till April GUH.

I think I'm changing,

I'm going to be 100% honest and say I use to make fun of kids who were in special education classes. Although, lately I've been working a lot with those kids because I'm filming a documentary about them. Seriously, they're the greatest kids I've ever met. This class prepares them for the work life, their life at home and how to greet guests and all while keeping a real curriculum. Honestly, if I was aloud, I'd post the video but I won’t. This is honestly the best kids I've ever met.

So I have a new job

I start this friday, I'm actually kind of excited because you know it's "on call" so I wont have study shifts and it's a video store. So all you do is rent out movies I find that kind of exciting because all you have to do all day is rent them and watch them to give out a biased on the movies so when people come in and ask I can give them my oppinions :). I'll deffinatly keep you updated from my first day. Now keep in mind I still work at another place and it's so frustrating.

Immature kids

Lately I've been analysing a lot of people and I realized a lot of kids who are my age (16-17-18) are extremely immature for they're age. Now I mean like they yell random things in class and stuff. I just find it weird how I've been in school with them for like 4 plus years and they're still annoying me. I thought it was me, but then I realized maybe it wasn't when everyone else was like giving them sarcastic looks. I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one who thinks they're immature, I would feel kinda mean :\

It's Time To Apply!

So this is the month and until may to apply to college and university. I've made a list of which I'm going to apply too and here's the list: St-Lawrence College
Laurentien University
Humber College
I'll be taking the behavioral psychology programs and their semesters are pretty tough. Now something else that I just came upon is that before, I didn't have enough U or M classes to get into the universities. I was shocked and a little upset with myself. So I compromised did some serious thinking and decided the hour I have for my lunch next semester, I'd figure I'd give it up for a correspondance class over the internet.

Attendances

Since I am in grade 12, I've got a lot of things to do. I have meetings with colleges and universitys and personal interviews. I cannot be there for every class anymore even though I try so hard. It's like this teachers expects me to be there every class when she has someone there, but I can't. Sometimes she wont even let me leave the class and it's crazy. I'm sorry I get that it it's important to be there when people are there but I can't and it's so hard to please her.

Is It Just Me

Or does anyone have kind of a difficulty on keeping up with oral notes. Like I know it’s essential for high school students to know how to take oral notes for college and university but I find it hard to keep up. I was always wondering if it was just me, but maybe it's just me but I hope not. As well, as I hope I get better because I don't want to have to borrow everyone’s notes after every class.

Is the media finally coming around?

The other day I was watching a commercial about this makeup, and I know she’s a big role model but I actually can’t believe I heard this. In the commercial she said «We know inner beauty is important, but outer beauty is way more important». Now I’m surprise to learn that girls aren’t even the majority of people with eating disorders and worrying about the physical, its men and boys. We’re worrying so much about looking big and muscular it’s affecting everything. Although I noticed something else, a lot of commercials are involving NORMAL sized people in it. I even saw a bigger women and she wasn’t in a weight loss commercial or a plastic surgery commercial. I was just plain shocked.

Social Networking (Y) or (N) ?

So last night I was browsin' the "new" social networking site (well new to me). If you haven't guessed it, its Twitter. Now lately with all that's been going on in the social world with facebook and "sexting", I guess people have a new thing? It's called gossip tweets. Now some person with too much time on their hands makes up some fake account with a fake name and the whole jazz and well tweats about what's going on in the workplace, the school or well anywhere. But I came across one very interesting one, one about my friends school, and the things this person was saying it was actually horrible it was sexual, degrading, and just plain stupid. These people have no lives; I don't know if it's just me but correct me if I'm wrong...

lately its been hard

To find good music. Like I've searched high and low for music that I can listen to more then once without it getting annoying and its impossible. Now it all sounds the same its all that crappy techno mixed in with some original stuff. Its annoying don't get me wrong I like all genre of music but now its all the same, like that new or well kinda old faber drive song 'get up and dance' what's with them ? Every time they come out with a new album or single it seems to change. I don't know if its just me but its dumb and people should stop going with the flow

well now I've been thinking

Don't worry, I'm not second guessing going to school, its pretty much everything else. My phone, and my insurance and all my other expenses. I did the math, 85 for phone, gas about 80, insurance 150-200. so add it up it's over 300$ a month and thats a lot, so I think I'm going to cancel my blackberry plan and go back pay as you go. Plus, instead of buying a car, I think i'll just use my moms until i move out. So I guess this is the year of saving :)

Well deserved

A NICE WEEKEND TO MYSELF.
I don't know how long I've been waiting for a weekend off, maybe 2 months. Now for those who don't know, my parents are divorced and we live an hour away from my dad. A postive is that I go to school in the same city my dad lives in but he works all over. So during the week I don't see him and that leaves weekends. But another flaw in my life, I work almost every weekend and well since we've been short staff since august so I haven't had my weekend with my dad. So it feels good to say that I relaxed a lot, went to the dog park with one of my dogs, made thanksgiving dinner on sunday and more dog park :)

Overload

It's the time of the year, so many projects so little time. This semester I've got 3 classes per day. I have psychology, English and cinematography. I have projects in every one of them. For psych I need to do skull analyze, English I must keep these posts updated and cinematography we're making a documentary. When will it end.

H1 N1

This will be the only blog I will write about this topic because it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard about in my life. All of a sudden there's a flu that just came out with the same symptoms as a cold. You got it H1N1, doctors, principals and parents are losing it over something that's lived with us for a while? H1 N1 in my opinion is a cold that is contracted from the pig. The way I see it it's the exact same thing except it comes from a different source. People should stop making a big deal about it and just MOVE ON.

Crazy girlfriend

I recently just got out of a relationship and thank god I did! I've never met anyone as controlling and obsessive as her. I couldn't take to any of my friends that are girls without her saying 'they better watch out'. My windows live personal message (pm) is dedicated to my friend who i currently away and won’t be back until April. So it says «miss you<3». I've never seen someone make a big deal about something. She was saying that I was cheating on her with my friend it got crazy so I ignored her for three days. Not the brightest thing to do but oh well it was done. :)

I took a useless class.

I took a class this year just for the reason that I could graduate this year. The more and more serious the class gets, the more and more I regret taking it… The class is interesting, and some events are fun. Although, the people in the class are like 100% serious that they want to get into that subject and I can’t stand it. I think it’s the students that drive me insane, like there are four people in there where you can’t even joke around about and they like freak-out. I can’t complain though, the teacher is great and it was my stupidity to pick the class, I just feel guilty.

I Never Really Realized...

It hasn't occured to me until this year that I'm so stressed. With work, school, social life, my future I really never have any me time. To be honest, I wish I didn't have a job, because I know a lot of it is because of it. Although, I can't complain, the moneys very good and it's nice that it's MY money and not my parents. It's just to much to think about right now. I'm aware at this point that if my studies start to drop, I'll have to quit, I hope I can make that descision. :\

Cell phones at school

I'M GLUED TO MY BLACKBERRY! Honestly, I don't think that I could ever go back to just a regular phone, in case I got it taken away :(. This was a while ago but I know it may sound familiar. I got my blackberry taken away at school plain and simple. It was taken away for that whole week which again I don't have a problem with... Well until I realized this... my phone is my lifeline, it has my friends birthdays, important dates, my emails, my text messages, my facebook notifications and it's my camera. I went crazy for that week and the worst part was that when I went to give it in the lady asked me for the battery! As if it matters you've got the phone you don't need my battery! I've only hear rumors that they browse thru your phone but I really didn't know, so I politely said no and that was that. Now I'm not 100% sure if that's what she wanted the battery for but you never know.

Relationships And School ?

A lot of people have them, are they really that much of a problem? I know some high school teachers think so and even some students think so. In my opinion, they're not bad at all especially in high school. To be honest, they're probably the best thing for a teenager in high school. They keep you somewhat sane, if you think about it a person with no friends and one boyfriend/girlfriend can be as happy as someone with a whole lot of friends and not boyfriend/girlfriend. Someone with the best of both worlds will be the happiest person in school. Now someone with neither people would say they're anti social, well it all matters on how you're willing to open up to someone!

Respect

People have lost complete respect in general. No one moves when somebody’s walking in the middle of the walk way, they'll just run into each other. It's getting to the point where people just think they're on top of the world and it doesn't matter what other people say or do. I know it's a long shot but what happened to the days where people use to walk grannies across the street!? Now that was LEGIT respect, now you see more people pushing grannies in front of cars then pulling them away from them. It's sad how now people are so lazy and careless. This disrespect is everywhere too now, in schools, on the streets, in the workplace even friends are disrespecting each other. But what can we say when technology now a day’s does everything for us?????

Peer Pressure

Obviously in high school you've been pressured into doing something. Rather it be drugs, alcohol or skipping. I'll be talking about a different type of peer pressure, the pressure of schooling. It takes different forms from being pressured to take the same classes as your friends and so on. Now I know everyone wants to be in the same class as they're friends, but if you don't need that class, or don't even want to go to that school, why are you wasting your time ? Your friends won't always be there for you in the future, you'll need to make your own decisions in life because it affects you and not your friends. Following a friend that doesn't want to do the same thing as you, you'll just be hurting yourself in the long run.

Another reason

Now, I know a lot of people go away for college and university, and since I live somewhat far away from my highschool I probably wont see some of my friends after highschool. Even though, some people from my school are coming up to peterborough to go to school, the majority of them will stay at home and go to school there. If this is happening to you in the near future, not to worry, thats why people have invented social networking websites. Sites like facebook, twitter, skype, myaspace and msn make life easier when you're living away from home. Also, to stay in touch on the go, they have applications that can be downloaded to your mobile phone, Blackberry and Iphone users can download the mobile apps, and you get all your nottifcations on the go no matter where you are ! Technologie makes our lives easier and easier ;)

ACCEPTED ?

So comming into the month of October, it will be application month. Like I said in my previous post, I would love to go to Trent university. Now here comes the most important question while applying, "What If I Don't Get Accepted ?". Well the sweet answer is, apply somewhere else, there's bound to be somewhere who has the same program and classes. The one website that helped me out a lot was http://www.ontariocolleges.ca/. It has detailed explications and facts about each college and university. Now depending on what province/state you're in, it will be a different website, although if you plan on applying to colleges and universities in ontario you must click that link.

The not so far away.

In my life, I’ve been having mix feelings of what I would like to do when I grow up. Although, to me the sentence “when I grow up Ì want to…” means a lot more than just finding a career, it means picking the right university, buying the right car, deciding if I want to settle down and have a family. Lately I’ve been thinking that I want to be a children psychologist, I would love to go to Trent a live at home until I get my PHD, and then buying a minivan. So yes, that means I would love to have a family. I’m almost positive that will change in the near future though…
